Homemade Playdough with Essential Oils: [makes red + white dough] You will need: + 2 cups flour + 1 cup salt (I used kosher sea salt) + 2 cups water + 2 T oil + 4 t cream of tartar + Canned beets + Essentials Oils Put all of these ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir constantly until the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the pan (about 10 min) . Divide the dough in half and put in two bowls. For the "red" dough take the juice from a can of beets and slowly work it into the dough. I used about 3 T at a time and kept working it in until the desired color was achieved. I then added 4 drops of Peppermint essential oil and worked that in. Make sure to work in well before little ones play with it. For the "white" dough I added 4 drops of Christmas Spirit. You could also use Thieves oil. Both smell incredible and support the immune + respiratory systems.
Below is some information that I took from an article that was published in the Atlantic Magazine.  It gives much needed credibility to the use of essential oils.  Although the article is mainly about using essential oils on farm animals, I think that it is worth reading.  Most research is first conducted on animals before going to human subjects.  We need to fund more research on essential oils.  I'll look into this.  I think there is a place out there that is doing this. Research investigating the use of essential oils in humans has produced encouraging results, but such studies have been small and surprisingly rare, especially given the demonstrated success of their use in livestock. An Italian study found that a combination of thyme and clove essential oils was just as effective in treating bacterial vaginosis as the usual antibiotic treatment, and results of a study by U.S. researchers show that staph-infected wounds healed faster when they we...
Historical Use of Essential Oils Essential oils have been used globally for centuries and are considered to be some of the first medicines ever used. They have been used in religious rituals, with treatment for various illnesses, and to overcome many physicial, spiritual, and emotional issues. Research dates the use of essential oils back to 4500 BC. Ancient Egyptians were the first to discover the potential of fragrance, and records demonstrate that oils and aromatics were used for treating illness and performing rituals and religious ceremonies in temples and pyramids. In fact, three oils that are still commonly used today—cedarwood, myrrh, and frankincense—were used in the embalming process. According to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese manuscripts, priests and physicians used oils thousand of years before the time of Christ. There are more than 188 references to oils in the Bible, and some precious oils like frankincense, myrrh, rosemary, cassia, and ...
This something I originally posted on my Facebook page in two parts.  I think this is worth reposting here on my blog.  It's about the benefits of pure therapeutic grade essential oils.  Hope that you find this information useful. Benefits of pure therapeutic oils  Enhance your emotional, spiritual and physical health. I had  been debating for some time whether I should have a separate blog for my essential oil business.  I figured that I had a separate page for this on Facebook (FB) so a blog wasn't necessary.  But then when I started rethinking this again, I decided it would probably be a good idea.  Some of my posts can be rather lengthy.  So I have decided that I will just put a small snippet of the post on my FB page and then I will just put a comment "if you want to read more about this, please see my blog."  Then I will have my blog information after this.  I hope you enjoy the information on my blog.  If you have any questions on either a condition you would like to know what oils might help, or if you are interested in becoming a Young Living Essential Oils Independent Distributor, like me, and help others in their quest for a better way to treat what ails them, you can either contact me through this blog or message me on my FB page - https://www.face...
